但是，在本科英语专业的学习中，大一大二所学内容是比较泛的，比如基础英语，英语语音学，快速阅读，英语听力等基础阶段，大都是起到巩固基本能力的作用。

这意味着，在所学英语的基础上，英语专业的学生又接触到了专业以外的知识，扩展了知识面，也为就业做准备。
