第二步对全文宏观把握

1. 查看时态是否一致。

3. 查指代是否一致。

4. 查平行结构是否平行一致。
由and, or, but, either...or..., neither...nor..., not only...but also..., as well as等并列连词和词组连接的结构可称为平行结构。
It was very kind of them to meet me at the railway station and drove me to their home. 句中的drove显然与and前面的to meet不平行,应改为drive。
5. 查名词的单复数与修饰词语或上下文是否一致。
We study quite a few subject, such as Maths, Chinese... quite a few 只能修饰复数名词,故subject应改为subjects。
6. 查行文逻辑是否一致。
Most people can quickly get from a doctor or go to a hospital since they are ill.根据行文逻辑,这里不应该由since来原因状语从句,而应该是when / whenr或if来时间或条件状语从句。
第四步 十大常见错误
短文改错是有一定的规律可循的,纵观近几年的高考试题及我们平常的模拟考试,可以发现短文改错主要有以下十大错误:
1. 形容词与副词的误用。
如exciting与excited,hard与hardly,sible与sibly,here与there等,以及形容词与副词的比较级与级。
2. 名词的单复数误用。
如在sral,many,various,different,a few,one of等之后,常用名词的复数,在ry与each之后常用单数。
3. 代词的误用。
如you与your,it’s与its,it与they或them,one与ones,宾格(如me)与反身代词(如myself)等的误用。
4. 介词的误用、缺少或多余。
常见的如in 与on,to与for,instead与instead of,because与because of等的误用。

时态错误几乎是每年NMET短文改错中必设的改错题。要有目的地去检查文中的每一个谓语动词的时态与上下文、语境以及该句的时间状语是否相符和一致。例如: Today,it is much easier to be healthy than it is in the past.(NMET' 93) is 应改为was, 使之与时间状语in the past一致。
二、查主谓是否一致
在检查谓语动词的时态和语态是否正确的同时,还要注意检查该动词在人称和数上是否与主语保持了一致。例如:
1.Anyone may borrow books,and it cost nothing to borrow them.(NMET' 94)cost应改为costs,因 其主语是it(为形式主语),且上下文均为一般现在时。
2.The new boy or girl in school quickly become one of the class…(NMET'93)由or连接的两个以上的主语应由靠近谓语的主语来决定谓语的单复数形式,故become应改为becomes。
三、查指代是否一致
对于短文中出现的每一个代词都要查一下它所指代的内容以及在句中的作用,注意其数、格、词性是否正确和前后一致,包括人称代词、指标代词、反身代词、关系代词以及疑问代词等。指代错误也是高考改错题中常设的改错题。例如:

四、查平行结构是否平行一致
由and,or,but,either…or…,neither…nor…,not only …but also…,as well as等并列连词和词 组连接的结构可称为平行结构。平行结构在词性、时态、非谓语动词的形式上往往要求前后一致。答题时要留心平行结构前后是否对等平行,这也是常设的错误。例如:
Modern people know…,he better food,and to live in cleaner surroundings.(NMET'93)应将 to live前的to删掉,因为and连接的是know,he,live三个并列平行的谓语动词,其时态和形式必须一致。
五、查名词的单复数与修饰词语或上下文是否一致
名词数的错误也是高考常设的改错题。要查一下名词是否可数,与其修饰语是否一致。例如:
1.…They he been to Europe many time.(NMET'92)time(次)显然与修饰语many不一致,应改为times。
2.(They) … asked me lots of question.(NMET'96)question 是可数名词,其修饰词是lots of,当然应该用复数questions。
六、查行文逻辑是否一致
查这方面的错误应从文章整体内容出发,通篇考虑,以行为单位是难以发现这种错误的。逻辑不一致主要是由肯定与否定、关联词语以及动词(如come与go,take与bring)的误用所造成的,应多从这方面去查找。 例如:

总之,短文改错要注意联系上下文和时态的变化,做题时应以句子为单位,同时兼顾改错的原则。这个原则就是不能改变原意,不能轻易去掉动词、名词等实词,去掉的通常是固定搭配结构中多余的部分。同样,增加的词也是固定搭配中缺少的部分或者是定语从句中的先行词或介词。短文改错中名词的错误多是可数名词和不可数名词的混用;形容词的错误一般是比较级和的混用;副词的错误一般来说是该用副词的地方用成了形容词。
做好短文改错题,可以从以下三方面去考虑:
1.快速阅读短文,如抓住中心思想,从整体上对短文有个了解。不了解全文,很难判断如时态和代词的相关错误。
2.充分运用语言的基础知识,从句型结构、词的变化、词类选择、词的搭配、习惯用法出发,进行分析判断,尽快找出错误在何处。

全国《考试说明》对短文改错题的测试要求描述如下:本题给出一篇约100个单词的短文,文中有10处错误,错误类型包括语法、句法、行文逻辑等。要求考生对每个句子进行判断,如有错误即将其改正。
短文改错试题将错误放在一篇短文之中,这就要求学生在短文所提供的语篇环境下考虑文中的错误。有时从单个句子来看,没有错误,而从语篇角度来看,句子中某个部分是错的,是上下文连贯性和行文逻辑方面的错误,如使用连接词不恰当,人称代词的不连贯等错误。该题是为了有效地检验考生综合运用英语知识的能力,因此难度较大、要求较高。
短文改错试题中将十个错误“隐藏”于一篇短文,有的句中没有错误,而有的句中有2个(最多)错误,这样就增加了学生答题难度。
新的短文改错题只是给定一篇文章让学生修改十处而非以往改错题指定十行让学生就每一行找出一处错误(其中一行无错误)。新短文改错综合性强,难度高,易失分,主要检测学生英语语言的实践技能,是大部分学生的致命题型,历年高考平均分多在3-4分之间,这就意味着相当一部分学生得分在3分以下。

综合运用所学语言知识,分句(注意以句子为单位而不是以行为单位)对不同的错误情况进行分析和回答(即改词、加词或减词)。
3.再次通读全文,校对自己的改正是否正确
一般各种改错的方式都应该用到,如果出现了某一种改法(如加词、减词等)没有用到,要考虑自己的改错应该有问题,要对刚才不是很有把握的行进行推敲。在自己认为正确的行后划勾,并且校对其他行改正的符号是否准确,大小写是否拼写正确(这点同学们很容易忽视)。如果某一行有两种改错方式要推敲哪一种是改法。
英语短文改错技巧 篇7
主谓一致性错误。
如第三人称单数漏掉s,或主语为复数,谓语动词却用了单数;以及就近原则对主语的影响等等。
例如:采集者退散
The president of the company,toger with the workers,are planning to solve these problems.
句中主语的主词为单数名词“president”,介词短语“toger with the workers”与主语无关,是插入成分,故谓语动词应用单数is。
冠词错误。
①定冠词the的多余或缺失,如季节,月份,星期,球类及三餐活动,称呼头衔前等不能加the的地方加了the,或是same等常和the一起使用的词却漏税掉了the。
例如:
① He often palys the football.

Reason前加the。Reason一词有“for hope"修饰,是特指,应该用定冠词"the"来修饰。

短文改错解题思路和检查原则
1. 句中各部分的结构是否完整,特别是每个句子要有动词;
2. 谓语动词的时态、语态;
3. 非谓语动词的用法;
4. 名词的单、复数,格的使用是否正确;
5. 定冠词和不定冠词是否正确;
6. 代词的格和性的使用是否有误;
7. 定语从句中关系代词、关系副词是否准确无误;

改动以最少为原则;
虚词以添加或删除为原则;

解题注意要点和能力培养
1. 核对错项时,若的确有一时难以改出的'地方,可以参考所改动项是否基本符合“1:1:8”的比例。即多一词1个,缺词1个,错词8个。
2. 核对改正的语法项目是否有重复。因为短文改错往往覆盖面广,一般不会出现重复考查某个语法点的现象。

高考短文改错一般会在以下八个方面进行设题。
1. 动词:主要考查时态、主谓一致和固定搭配。例如:
①时态混用

(很显然此段的主时态是一般过去式,因此应把can’t改为couldn’t。)
②主谓不一致
There were a football on TV last Saturday ning.
(a football 决定了谓语动词用单数,故应该把were改为was。)
③固定搭配

(give up doing sth.是固定用法,故动词buy应该改为buying。)
2. 名词:主要考查单复数混用。例如:
Helen is sn year old. She is very busy.
(表示“年龄多大了”应该为复数形式,故应把year改为years。)
3. 形容词/副词:主要考查两者之间是否混用。例如:
①副词代替正确形容1.了解短文内容,逐词、逐句检查看是否有单词拼写、大小写、标点等错误。词

(很明显是“与平时相比较更忙”,因此需要把usually改为usual。)
②形容词代替正确副词

4. 介词:主要考查固定搭配,特别是动词和介词的搭配。例如:
①介词遗漏

(get rid of 是固定搭配,意为“摆脱,除去”。)
My wife is also happy because of I he given up oking.
(这里显然是区分because of与because的用法。前者不能接句子,而后者充当连词可以接句子,故应该把of去掉。)
③介词错用(一般为固定搭配)
I pick out her false hair and said, “Don’t be sad, Miss.”
(pick out改为pick up。pick out挑选;pick up捡起。)
5. 连词:主要考查句子之间的逻辑关系。常考的三种关系主要是:转折 (but)、并列(and)和因果(because)。 例如:
One day, my wife and I went shopping at a store. We drove the car but we had a lot of things to buy.
(显然,句意为“我们开车去的原因是因为我们要买很多东西”,所以应该把but改为because / as / for。)
6. 句式:主要考查that与what或which / how与what之间的转换。这是短文改错的常考点。 例如:
She nr has enough time for that she wants to do.
(句意为:她没有足够多的时间来做自己想做的事情。很明显应该把that改为what。)
7. 冠词:主要考查冠词是否多余或遗漏。 例如:
①冠词多余
So I went to sell newss after the school.
(“放学后”应该用after school表示,故此处定冠词多余,应去掉the。)
②冠词遗漏
As we all left home at early age, we met lots of problems in our daily life.
(at an early age表示“很小的时候”,故early前应加不定冠词。)
8.代词:主要考查代词是否多余或遗漏,以及代词之间的混用。 例如:
①代词多余
Don’t lose your heart if you fail in the exam.
(lose heart表示“泄气,丧失勇气”,而lose one’s heart to . / sth.表示“爱上,钟情于……”。根据语境,此处很明显是指“别泄气”,故应该把your去掉。)
②代词遗漏
A teacher could make classes lively and interesting.
(应该在classes前加his,表示“使他的课堂生动有趣”。)
③代词混用
We were living in a big family. We treated each other as brothers and sisters. If any one of them had any difficulty, the other would him or her out.
(根据句意“我们生活在一个大家庭之中,彼此间相处如同兄弟姐妹。如果我们之中谁有困难,其他人就会帮助他/她解决困难”,所以应把them改为us,把other改为others。)

此类题可以考查学生对单词形式变化的掌握程度。单词形式变化主要有两种,一是词的形、数、式的变化,一是词的派生变化。
技巧一:名词形式变化
名词的形式变化主要有单数、复数、所有格的变化。
例:
There are many students living at school,the______(children) houses are all far from school.
由students一词可以判断出横线处应填复数,且作为houses的定语,所以应用其所有格形式,故为children’s。
动词的形式变化比较多,有谓语的变化(时态、语态、语气),有非谓语的变化(不定式、动名词、现在分词、过去分词)。
例:
The talk_____(give)tomorrow is written by Professor Zhang.
句中的is written是整句的谓语,所以横线所在的动词应当用作非谓语。从tomorrow可以看出,报告是“将来”作的,故用不定式;且报告是give动作的承受者,故可以判断出横线所在处用give的不定式被动式——to be given。
技巧三:代词形式变化
代词形式变化通常是与人称变化有关的三大类五小类,即人称代词(主格和宾格)、物主代词(形容词性和名词性)、反身代词。另外还有几个不定代词的形式变化,如no one/none、other/another等。
例:
The king decided to see the painter by_____(he).
由介词by可以看出,横线处应填反身代词himself。
技巧四:形容词、副词比较级变化
英语中大部分形容词和表方式的副词都有原级、比较级和的变化。构成比较级和的方式,或通过加后缀er和est,或在词前more/less和most/least,且形容词的还要冠以the。
例:
I am_____(tall)than Liuwen.He is the tallest students in my class.
此题后句交代了Liuwen是班上的学生,那“我”肯定比他矮,所以不能用taller,只能用表示程度不如的“less tall”。
技巧五:数词形式变化
数词的形式变化包括基数词、序数词,或加后缀一、ty的变化,甚至还有作分母用的序数词的单复数形式,以及one/two的特殊变化形式 once/tw
例:

技巧六:词的派生
词的派生现象在英语单词中是很常见的,派生现象主要发生在名词、动词、形容词、副词四种词中。这种题型还有可能检测学生对词根、前后缀、派生词的掌握。

这里是指“体重问题”,故应用名词weight作定语。
此类题难度较大,但也是有方法应对的。
技巧七:固定短语结构
根据句中横线前后及整句来判断横线前后是否构成一个固定短语,但有时要对横线前或后的几个单词“视而不见”才能命中。
例1:
The children were playing on the ground,enjoying____,dirty but happy.
从句中的happy可以 猜出孩子们是开心的,所以应用enjoy oneself短语,故其为themselves。
例2:
His boss was____angry as to fire him.
如果“跳过”横线后面的angry,就可以发现这里用到一个关联短语so...as to...,所以,so是正解。
技巧八:从句词
从句是此题型最为常见的一个方向,主要检测学生对词的掌握程度。
例1:
He did not done_____his father had asked him to do.
审题可知,横线所在为宾语从句的词,此词在从句中充当宾语,且指物,所以是what。
例2:
Those_____want to go to the village must sign here.
经过观察可以判断横线所在为定语从句的词,进一步观察可知先行词为those,且指人,所以只能填入who,在定语从句中做主语。
技巧九:短语动词结构
短语动词是以动词为中心的两个或多个词构成的短语,此类短语中往往是动词与介词或副词连用的多些。
例1:
The us consists____fifty states.
根据常识可知,美国由50个州组成,故横线处与前一词组合,表示“由......组成”,所以是of。
例2:
Mrs. Baker was ill,so her daughter had to ask for lee to take care_____ her.
生病需要人照顾,所以是of。
技巧十:短语介词结构
短语介词即多个词的组合。起介词作用的短语,如:except for,due to等。
例1:
此题中说到两种交通工具,所以可以理解此句有“坐……而不是坐……”的意思,故为of,以构成介词短语instead of。
例2:
Just then,he saw a blackboard in front _____ him.
细心观察,可以看出填入of即可构成in front of,此题得解。
技巧十一:连词、关联短语结构
常用的连词有and,or,but,so,for,while等,常用的关联短语有both…and...,either…or...,neither…nor...,not only…but also...等。
例:
____Marrie and Jannie like going to the theatre.
横线处的词与后面可以构成both…and,故为Both。
技巧十二:冠词、介词和常用的副词
冠词只能是在a,an,the之间判断;常用的介词有in,at,on,before,during等,通常考查固定搭配;副词的量还是比较多,如:howr,nr,yet,much等。
例1:
Jackie likes to drive at____ high speed.
这里考查的是不定冠词的习惯用法,为a,构成at a high speed,“以高速”开车。
例2:
Old Tom’s granddaughter used to visit him_____Saturday afternoon.
Saturday afternoon是指定的某天下午,所以不用介词in,而用on才是正解。
例3:
Though Tom did the same work____Jim did,he got a lower pay______Jim.
条横线可由前面的the same断出用as,第二条横线则可由lower断出比较意义,故为than。
例4:
There is only one dayleft,_____,I still hen’t done my homework.
观察上下句,可以看出是转折关系,且横线与前后用逗号隔开,排除but,所以是howr。
英语短文改错题探秘
高考英语改错题是考生感到棘手的题型之一。笔者对近几年的高考英语改错题作了细致的分析并加以归类后,发现错误类型主要集中在以下方面。(例题保留原题号)
1. 动词时态
每年都有时态错误的小题,而且改动基本集中在一般过去时与一般现在时之间。时态的更改要以上下文的主体时态为依据。

(根据sometimes可判断此句为一般现在时)

(2009浙江卷)在此a改为an;由umbrella的发音可知以元音因素开头,应用an。x0dx0a7. 数词:主要是序数词与基数词的混用和错用,如分数的分子大于一时分母没有用复数等,基数词的复数形式如几百dreds of,几千thousands of漏掉了s,或是当其前有具体数字或sral时加了复数,如sn dred,写作sn dreds。x0dx0a8. 连词:不合句中的逻辑关系。如需转折连词(如but)的时候用了承接连词(so),或相反等等。x0dx0a例1: This man might need the umbrella himself, and he preferred to give it to somebody else.(2009.浙江卷)在此and改为but,前后构成转折,用but。x0dx0a9. 代词:主要是代词的格与数的错用。如男性用了女性代词,单数用了复数代词或相反;应当用形容词性的物主代词用了宾格,主格或相反,关系代词的错用或缺失。如只能用that的用了其它,或在不能用that的地方却用了that,或是在“介词+关系代词”结构中漏掉了介词等。x0dx0a例1:The factory ?? has been moved out of the city, and a sports center has been built in their place. (2009全国卷I) 此处their 改为 its。 因为前文中提到了名词The factory是单数,因此把their改为its。x0dx0a例2:one day I saw a second—hand bicycle, that was only one dred yuan.(2009辽宁卷)把that改为which,非限制性定语从句的先行词指物时只能用which不能用that。x0dx0a10. 常用固定短语或固定用法及句型用错。x0dx0a例:It was a lesson to us that it was sible give without expecting anything in return.(2009浙江卷)在sible后加to。由 It is/was sible(或其他形容词)+ to do sth.固定句型决定。x0dx0a三、验证。改完后,要回过头来重读一遍全文,查看改过后是否能使语气通顺,时态一致,合乎逻辑。再次通读可以在初改时感觉不顺的地方集中精力,仔细推敲,使更加准确。因为有时就一个句子来看可能在两个地方修改都说地过去,但在上下文中可能只能在一处修改才正确。will write again and send you the photos we take toger. 85. took

2. 名词单复数
单复数互改是高考英语改错题的基本题型之一,改动的依据有:一是根据名词前的修饰限定成份;二是根据上下文的逻辑关系。

(是把word改为words 还是把were改为was,根据名词前的修饰限定词their来决定。)

(sral修饰复数名词)

3. 句子结构
句子结构方面的错误范围庞大,解答高考英语改错题主要可以从以下几方面来思考:1)句子结构是否完整,成份是否冗缺;2)单词的词性与其在句中的功能是否相符;3)主谓一致;4)复合句中连接主句和从句的关系词或词的运用是否得当等。

5. 固定结构(固定句型、固定短语、固定搭配)
所谓固定结构是指英语中一些不能随意更改的习惯表达。如固定短语中的词不能缺,固定搭配要前后一致等。
