个人觉得99年的《Silence》和01年的《应该》以及06年的《女爵》三张专辑都很经典，其实她也就出了大概五张专辑而已。

《Silence》是杨乃文在金曲奖封后的作品，里面知名度很高的歌曲有《静止》（翻唱花儿乐队的，很经典啊~~~花儿原创其实还蛮有自己特色的）、《那天》（我家Hebe很爱的一首歌，被她翻唱过）、《我给的爱》（张震岳的词曲哦，好听啊）、《不要告别》（高旗不知道你认识不，他的词曲）其实里面其他的歌都很好听，主要都是和林暐哲合作的。

我个人最喜欢01年《应该》这张了~~~因为听，流行性，一般的听众就从这张听吧~~~里面两首陈老师给她的歌《证据》和《漂着》我都巨爱~~~~还有出自珊妮老师的《应该》（同名主打）~~~《太骄傲》（很轻快，歌词很有趣，很好听）和《祝我幸福》（陈小霞老师的曲，好听啦~~~）也都很好听。

06年的《女爵》质量也很高~~~同名主打《女爵》是青峰的词曲~~~重点《我离开我自己》（陈晓娟的词曲，这个女人巨强大，首首经典，真的！你可以去查查，经典太多就不一一列举了）、珊妮老师的《微笑着挥手》（个人很爱珊妮老师，哈哈）、其实还有蛮多的~~~我不想写了，够了吧~~~

次段道出了幻影的实境。在梦中主述者总是忐忑不安，独自一人走在鹅卵石铺设的街道上，由Neath thehalo of a street lamp与 I turned my collar to the coldand damp这两句来看，那一定是个又湿又冷的夜。就在这样孤寂湿冷的夜，他被突如其来的霓红灯光芒刺醒了，而体验到真正的“寂静”。“light”原带有文明、希望、启蒙（enlightenment)等正面的意义，在此，保罗·西蒙逆转了这个形象。
